So the inevitable happened. I played Street Fighter X Tekken. I really tried to avoid this seeing as I knew that I wouldn’t be very happy with the game and I’d wait for Persona 4: Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena. But alas…I touched the game.
For your potentially amusement here were my reactions at key points of playing the game for over 3-4 hours and 150+ matches.
My reaction to the fact that almost anything I thought up with Rolento working
My reaction to feeling like John Choi playing Ryu because all buttons worked
My reaction to realizing that despite all of that, realizing that this game is a steaming pile of bad decisions and poorly made burritos.
If anyone would really like for me to break down my findings in SFXT, I guess I can but I feel like the game is so easy to break down that if you have about 2 hours you can find enough stuff to be competitively sound without too much thought, at least for now.
One of my best friends from my college days and esteemed artist Weigy Widyanputra contributed the cover art for this fantastic write up for Capcom’s upcoming release of “Ashura’s Wrath”. The article was written by yet another influential artist, friend, honorary brother, Richmond C. Lee. Definitely a great read—highly recommended!
I was recently approached by one of my best friends and long-time conversational companion, Richmond Chaisiri, to do an artwork to accompany his brilliant article, “A Buddhist’s Guide to Ashura’s Wrath”
If you have any interest in the game or the rich Buddhist imageries it draws inspiration from, click the link above and enjoy yourself.
Natsumi Oosawagi aka Lotta Hart has been spotted in the debut trailer and while she is a very instrumental character in the game. I ‘m pretty damn happy cause she looks pretty damn incredible. I want…all the things…all of them.
I <3 Lotta Hart. This movie may be hit or miss although I do love Takeshi Miike but, Phoenix and Edgeworth look mad Katsucon. The Hair props don’t look interesting and seem to be visually jarring. I just hope that the direction of the movie helps me to overlook how strange they appear in this trailer. Anyway…LOOK AT THAT FRO.
Oh man, my body is ready.
This is me when I found out that BOTH of Ken’s overheads, Alex’s Toward + Fierce, and Sean’s Close Roundhouse in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike are hit confirms…
